I'm Back, I'm Married and I'm ready to alter!

Hi Everyone,

Well, I went away for a while, but all for wonderful reasons. I got engaged the beginning of March, married May 6, moved out of my apartment, went to Israel for 6.5 weeks, came back and moved into a new apartment with my husband!!

I'm starting to work on a few projects once my art table is in order (this week if he puts up the shelves tomorrow!!):

Altered Bras
Altered Wands
More altered books and Journals
And Faeries trapped in little bottles - thanks to Lisa Vallroth

More to come soon,
Copper

Paperdoll Mermaids

Top is the left side, bottom is the right. I had sooooooooooo much fun making these really cool paperdoll mermaids. The theme for this book was Paperdolls. I didn't know what do since I am NOT a doll person. So I took the idea to a different level - and since the owner of this books loves mermaids, I think she'll like it too!

Here's my sign in tag, the fibers covered up her face during the scan, oh well!!

Cheers Dahlin'

AAO has turned one years old! Here's an ATC I made for the anniversary ATC book some of us on the group are participating in. Can't wait for the book to come home!!

My Precious Pins

I think these pins turned out very cool. The scans, once again, do not do these justice. The top four are my new stamps from www.TheEnchantedGallery.com Which is a very cool website with great original stamps and molds . The bottom two are done on stampbord. Cool stuff!!

Please go enjoy linking to some of my favorite artists. Just look to the right and scroll down a teeny bit... have fun!! If you want me to add your site to my links, send me an email.

Claudine Hellmuth - I LOVE YOU!!

I really love it, when I buy an artists technique book, try an actual technique right out of their book and it works - on the first try!! Thanks for the great instructions on peeling paint Claudine Hellmuth!! I really like the way this spread turned out. I WILL be duplicating this technique again! :O)

Zettiology??

Okay, here is my first attempt at 'Zettiology'. I'm not sure if I've got it yet, but I have decided that I do like, and those striped arms and legs stamps are pretty fun.

Found Objects Doll

She was a mermaid waiting to be made from odds and ends that I found around the house and on my desk! This is my first attempt at really making a doll. I think she came out really nice. She is made to be hung on the wall. I kind of wanted to keep her. But, it's for a swap, so out she will go! Have fun at your new home!! I can't wait to see what comes back.

So, from head to fins, she's made out of:
Ribbons
Wires
Vellum Tags
Formica Chips
Metal Stars
Misc Papers
Beads
Metal Square
Used Bottlecaps
Acrylic Paints
Fibers
UTEE
Sequins
Stones
Buttons
Paperclips
Clay

Doors and Windows

So, they didn't scan the greatest, but the images are all stamped onto transparencies (except red spread) then they have alcohol ink behind them, and then a layer or two of white paint so you can see the stamped images. Looks neat in person ;O)

100 one by one inch Collages

I've really lost it this time. I did 100 1x1 inch collages. It was fun though. So this is for a swap, I think there were like 25 or 30 people involved. We all did 100, so I'll get back some of mine and some of theirs. Then I will mount them on something, 10x10 square rows/columns. The swap isn't due until the middle of November, so I'll just have to wait for a while and see what comes back!

The Rarest Flowers....

I really like this page, I think it is so pretty in person. It didn't scan the greatest, there is no murky dark spot. And everything is coated with a beautiful pearly white with some silver glitter. I really love the vintage lady. The stamps are all from Close to my Heart, not a company I use a lot, but I really loved these stamps. Of course, they were from last years catalog. Enjoy, I can't wait to get this chunky book back!! White is my new fa

Brown Chunky

Front and Back pages for a Brown Chunkybook. I think this one turned out nice, and the glitter was a really nice touch.

Fabric Painting

Well, this is my second attempt for Fabric Painting. I actually swapped this baby out....I think it would look good framed on a wall....
